‘The Big Bang Theory’ Spoilers: Why Will Episode Starring Nathan Fillion Be A Tearjerker?
The Big Bang Theory crew is going to meet another famous face in an upcoming episode that will turn out to be a real tearjerker. Castle actor Nathan Fillion is going to guest-star as himself, and he’s going to cause a great debate between Raj and Leonard.
The Big Bang Theory characters have met a few actors from their beloved space series Star Trek: The Next Generation, including LeVar Burton and Wil Wheaton. They’re so used to hanging out with Star Trek stars that running into them isn’t really a big deal anymore, but the guys are going to fangirl big time when they spot Firefly actor Nathan Fillion at a restaurant.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Raj and Leonard will get into an argument over whether or not it’s actually him. Perhaps they’ll mistake the actor for his doppelganger, Jason Bateman. According to SheKnows, a cop once mistook Nathan Fillion for the Arrested Development star after pulling him over. The cop told Fillion that he could get out of a speeding ticket in exchange for an autograph, so the actor signed Bateman’s name and went on his merry way. Nathan’s Castle character was also mistaken for Jason Bateman once on the ABC series.
Raj and Leonard will eventually decide that they’re really looking at Nathan Fillion, and they’ll try to muster up the courage to ask him for a picture.
Nathan Fillion isn’t the first Firefly star to appear on The Big Bang Theory. In the season 2 episode “The Terminator Decoupling,” the guys spot Summer Glau on a train. They quibble over who should go to talk to her, and Raj actually makes the first move. However, he stops talking to Summer as soon as he realizes that he’s been drinking nonalcoholic beer the entire time he’s been chatting her up. Howard also tries to talk to her, but he just ends up creeping her out.
Hilarity will obviously ensue after Raj and Leonard decide to disturb a second Firefly star, but the laughs will be followed by a few tears.
According to Spoiler TV, the guys will run into Nathan Fillion during the episode of The Big Bang Theory set to air on February 19. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the episode will be titled “The Comic Book Store Regeneration,” and it will deal with the death of Howard Wolowitz’s mother. Carol Ann Susi, the actress who played Mrs. Wolowitz, passed away last November. Be sure to have a box of tissues handy when you watch this one.
According to CarterMatt, this Thursday’s episode of The Big Bang Theory is titled “The Troll Manifestation.” Leonard and Sheldon will decide to take on an internet troll who makes some nasty comments about a physics paper they co-wrote. Meanwhile, the girls will find themselves “confronting embarrassing moments from their past” that include fan fiction, beauty pageants, and bad movies.
