Katy Perry Gets Tattooed After Super Bowl Halftime Show

Katy Perry celebrated her Super Bowl halftime show like any other singer would. She got a new tattoo to celebrate her big moment.

Perry didn’t want to waste any time celebrating after her memorable performance, which sent over 113 million people into awestruck fever, according to USA Today. She wanted to commemorate the moment by getting “XLIX” tattooed on her right finger. The “XLIX” stands for Super Bowl 49.

Katy shared the photos of her new tattoo on Instagram. The singer captioned one of the photos, “I thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight.” At least Katy didn’t draw any “bad blood,” as she didn’t mention the Taylor Swift feud in her performance.

Perry was also celebrating with John Mayer that night. Maybe he’s the one who got away, and not her ex-husband Russell Brand. After the couple called it quits for the third time, Perry and Mayer are rumored to be together again.

The two were reportedly looking cozy as they posed with Missy Elliott. The hip-hop artist shared the photo of herself with John and Katy on Twitter. That made fans wonder if Katy and John are really back together. Or maybe that’s Katy’s way of getting back at Taylor. Taylor also dated John back in 2010.

A source told Us Weekly that Mayer was waiting backstage to congratulate Perry when she came off the stage from her colorful and exuberant performance. Perry, 30, and Mayer, 37, were rumored to be engaged shortly before= their last split. The two have been spotted out and about in Los Angeles, reigniting rumors that they are back together.

Katy and John were previously spotted with Girls star Allison Williams and fiancé Ricky Van Veen at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. Katy and John were also packing on the PDA that night, according to the report. People magazine claims John greeted Katy with a kiss and the two held hands the whole night.

According to a report on the Inquisitr, Perry’s Super Bowl halftime show crushed past performances. She received more critical acclaim for her performance than any other female artist has received in the past. Perry has received a lot of positive reaction from the media. It’s no wonder why she wanted to commemorate her moment with a tattoo.

Katy Perry was the headline performer for the Pepsi halftime show at the Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday night. She sang her hit songs like “Roar,” “I Kissed a Girl,” “California Girls,” and “Firework.” Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz also performed.
