‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Spoilers: April And Jackson Have A Tense Moment [Video]

Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 returned to ABC last night, and the series jumped right back into things following the tense moment Meredith and Derek shared at the end of the winter finale. The winter premiere picked up the next morning, and Meredith follows through and sends Derek off.

However, this first episode back did not focus on Meredith Grey drama. She was in the mix, but the episode dealt with April and Jackson’s heartbreaking situation. Their unborn child has been diagnosed with Osteogenesis imperfecta, and the newlyweds are now facing a decision.

ABC released a sneak peek for the next episode, Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 10, titled “The Bed’s Too Big Without You.” The Grey’s Anatomy sneak peek shows Jackson and April having a conversation. They are going forward with another test to find out how dire their infant’s situation is. Jackson keeps pushing April to help him decide what to do if the results are bad.

However, April is not happy about the pressure, and she turns the tables on him. She feels that he has already made up his mind about what to do, and she confronts him on that. The sneak peek ends there.

Next week’s Grey’s Anatomy episode will heavily focus on April and Jackson’s once again, according to International Business Times. April will push Arizona to do everything she possibly can to save her baby. Meanwhile, Dr. Herman will try to teach Arizona everything she knows before she allows Amelia to operate on her. Dr. Herman’s tumor is a secondary plot, but it does have an impact on April’s situation.

According to Shonda Rhimes, Sarah Drew, the actress behind April Kepner, came to her with the idea for the storyline surrounding her pregnancy. April Kepner’s religious beliefs have played a huge role in her character’s development, and this situation with her pregnancy is testing her beliefs even more.

In addition to the April and Jackson situation, next week’s episode will also feature Owen and Callie trying to move forward and date again after the end of their relationships. Owen was left behind when Cristina Yang departed Seattle at the end of last season, and Arizona and Callie ended their relationship during the first half of Grey’s Anatomy Season 11.

By the end of last night’s episode, Meredith and Derek had made up, but he still left Seattle. This will lead to Meredith dealing with life on her own for a bit, but Derek is not gone for good.
