WWE News: Triple H Teases Change To ‘WrestleMania 31’ Main-Event

During the opening segment of tonight’s live edition of SmackDown, WWE COO Triple H addressed the “controversy” at this past Sunday’s Royal Rumble, and said that he will make an announcement on next Monday’s RAW that will shake the foundation of WWE, and put an end to the controversy surrounding the winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns.

The WWE announcers during tonight’s episode of SmackDown are really selling the idea that WWE fans aren’t upset with Roman Reigns, but they’re just upset with the fact that Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, or Dean Ambrose didn’t win the 2015 Royal Rumble, and are taking it out on Roman Reigns.

After Triple H made the announcement that he would address the Royal Rumble controversy on next Monday’s RAW, Roman Reigns headed to the ring, and was met with thunderous boos. Reigns — who has never been booed before — told Triple H that there was “no controversy surrounding the Royal Rumble,” and that he is going to the main-event of WrestleMania.

The idea of adding Daniel Bryan to the WrestleMania main event has been thrown around, but it has been reported that Vince McMahon doesn’t want to add Bryan to the main event because he doesn’t want to do the exact same thing two years in a row. But, most people believe that if the fans continue to react the way they’ve been reacting, WWE will have no choice and will have to put Daniel Bryan in the main event once again.

The other solution to the problem that’s been thrown around is to have Paul Heyman cost Brock Lesnar the WWE championship at WrestleMania, and join Roman Reigns — turning Reigns heel.

WWE could take Roman Reigns out of the WrestleMania main event altogether, and have him put his status as the number one contender for the WWE championship on the line on RAW, and lose to either Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, or Dean Ambrose.

Dolph Ziggler challenged Daniel Bryan to a match at WrestleMania on Twitter, a challenge which Bryan accepted. WWE has acknowledged that challenge on their Facebook page, and are calling Ziggler vs. Bryan a “match made in heaven.”

As of this moment, Dean Ambrose doesn’t have an opponent for WrestleMania, so he could be the guy who takes Reigns’ spot at WrestleMania.

Furthermore, the commentators on tonight’s SmackDown are talking about Reigns in a much different way than they have been before, acknowledging the WWE fans booing him, and saying that the WWE fans want “Reigns to lose in the worst way.” Well, the fans didn’t get their wish, as Reigns defeated Big Show on tonight’s SmackDown.
