Sarah Palin Accidentally Raised Thousands For Hillary Clinton’s Campaign

Sarah Palin shocked the world when she admitted she was “seriously” considering running for president in 2016, especially after arguably ruining John McCain’s chances of winning against Obama six years ago. With super-conservative Sarah Palin making a sincere go at the White House, it’s especially embarrassing for her to accidentally throw $25,000 worth of support toward far-left Democrat Hillary Clinton. But that’s exactly what Palin did last week during a speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit.

According to the Independent, Sarah Palin made the fatal mistake of showing off one of Hillary Clinton’s campaign magnets during the public address. She brought out the massive piece of propaganda that read “I’m Ready for Hillary” and used it to make a point against Hillary, to a mostly-Republican audience.

“I’m ready for Hillary, are you? Are you coming?” Palin said.

“Hey Iowa, can anyone stop Hillary? To borrow a phrase, ‘Yes we can!’ And it starts here and it starts now.”

In turn, Palin’s presentation sparked the public’s interest in purchasing Clinton’s magnets. The people behind the Ready for Hillary campaign then took a screenshot of Sarah Palin holding the magnet and tweeted it out, with links on how to buy one of the “I’m Ready for Hillary” magnets. Each one cost $20.16, which is donated to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign — a campaign that stands in direct opposition to Sarah Palin’s platform.

Since Palin’s speech, the Ready for Hillary campaign has released a public statement explaining Sarah’s embarrassing mistake, and the boost it has given to Hillary’s cause, according to Mediaite. The most ironic part of Palin’s mistake is that her contribution to Hillary’s campaign has actually qualified her to a high position within the Ready for Hillary campaign.

“Sarah Palin inadvertently gave herself a new title — Co-Chair of Ready for Hillary’s National Finance Council! Yesterday, we sent an email to our supporters telling you how Sarah Palin held up a Ready for Hillary car magnet during a recent speech. The response we got was overwhelming — hundreds of supporters stepped up and Sarah ended up raising Ready for Hillary over $25,000 in grassroots donations. Here’s the kicker — by raising $25,000, Sarah officially qualifies as a Co-Chair of our National Finance Council. (We will wait until Sarah calls before officially adding her name to the list.)”

Bringing out one of Clinton’s campaign magnets might not have been Sarah Palin’s only mistake during the Iowa Freedom Summit speech. The event was skewered by left-leaning political satirist Jon Stewart, who said the speech was full of “incoherent, rambling, unintelligible, folksy idioms.” Stewart even went so far as to say that Sarah Palin was “not speaking at a political event, [she] is trying to sell America a Lincoln.”
