‘RHONY’ Star Bethenny Frankel Returned To Series For The Money?
RHONY star Bethenny Frankel reportedly returned to the Bravo series because she needed the money. In a new report, a source alleged Frankel’s costly divorce left her in need of some extra funds, which she’s now getting from her role on The Real Housewives of New York City.
“She’s dumped so much money in legal bills into her divorce from Jason Hoppy,” an insider told Life & Style of Frankel’s financial situation, according to a January 28 report by Radar Online.
Unfortunately, Frankel’s Skinnygirl business reportedly isn’t doing as well as it once was.
“Bethenny’s trying to reinvent herself again, and from all accounts, it doesn’t seem to be working. Bethenny’s just trying to stay afloat right now and gain new opportunities any way she can. She’s desperate to make the brand boom again, so she’s trying to come up with new and creative ways to promote Skinnygirl.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, one of those creative ways was featuring the brand on the show.
While RHONY star Bethenny Frankel was brought back to the show to stir the pot, she’s reportedly more concerned with pushing her Skinnygirl products than creating an entertaining show, and as Radar Online reported, the issue hasn’t sat well with producers.
“Bethenny is insisting on featuring her Skinnygirl products at every opportunity. The requests from Bethenny have crew members concerned the upcoming season will be one big promo for all things Bethenny.”
During one instance, RHONY star Bethenny Frankel “made certain the bar was stocked with all of her Skinny Girl alcohol” at a birthday party thrown for her and attended by her co-stars.
“It just feels tacky and cheap.”
According to the report, producers wouldn’t mind promoting Skinnygirl, but since Frankel has failed to deliver the drama they expected, they have reportedly grown frustrated.
“Bethenny is proving to be a downer in that department too. She is trying to be the mother hen, and providing support to LuAnn de Lesseps as she begins dating after her breakup with Jacques. There is simmering tension with Kristin Taekman, but Bethenny is very hesitant to get into heated fights with her on camera.
“Producers brought Bethenny back to spice things up, and she is acting like some sort of advice guru. It’s obvious to everyone that Bethenny is only using the show to rehab her public image which took a huge hit after her divorce proceedings from estranged husband, Jason Hoppy began.”
