Ellie Goulding: Nike’s Inspiring Ambassador For ‘Melody of Movement’ Campaign [Video]


Ellie Goulding continuously stuns audiences with massively high-energy performances at her shows and goes through some fierce and rigorous training in her “down time” to make sure this caliber of performance is maintained. It’s no wonder the “Love Me Like You Do” singer has been selected for Nike’s latest campaign.

The “Melody of Movement” campaign by Nike features the 28-year-old pop star discussing her fitness regimes and where she draws her inspiration from.

Ellie admits to always having been aware of the benefits of being healthy and active, even though as a kid she never fully got involved in sport. Running has easily become her number one love in the world of fitness and the activity that best prepares her for her shows. Just Jarred recounts her words.

“I think I was about 18 when I decided to start running. I literally went out running one day and I never looked back. I have to be fit to do all the things I want
to do on stage.”

Goulding also shared how proud it makes her to be an ambassador for Nike and with that to be the identifiable face for all women so she can inspire the mentality that “being fit is better than being skinny.”

The British songstress admits to struggling when it comes to finding the balance needed to find time for fitness when such high demands are put on her in other areas of her hectic schedule. Balance is what many can identify as being the toughest element to find in day-to-day lives and because of this causes many women to skip workouts and fitness sessions. Ellie describes what it is that allows her to achieve the balance she needs to maintain focus.

“The way that I’ve got here now is by having the same positive attitude, working hard and continuously writing, reading and keeping myself inspired. If I focus on that each day, the future will take care of itself.”

Nike clearly selected well for their motivational “Melody of Movement” campaign.

Reps of the powerhouse brand state that, “The 28-year-old England native is more than just a powerful voice and a celebrity entertainer. She’s a beacon for a movement in which strength is the new standard of beauty.”

The brand also notes that Ellie has been involved in developing a new and attractive workout for Nike + Training Club.

“As part of her ongoing passion for sport, Goulding has designed a new workout for Nike+ Training Club and March 2nd will see the launch of her Get Lean N+TC exercise routine. The new 15 minute N+TC App workout incorporates all of her favorite training moves, alternating metabolic drills with high and low intensity movement for a full body workout to help burn calories and keep you mentally and physically engaged.”

Goulding has got the voice, the street style, the focus, and the drive. That drive has pushed her to have not just run one marathon, but five, as Shape magazine shares. Goulding is simply perfect for a campaign with the name “Melody of Movement.”
