‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’: Hulk To Turn Grey In Sequel?

The unveiling of a new batch of Avengers: Age Of Ultron merchandise has teased that the Hulk could turn grey for the hugely anticipated blockbuster sequel.

This rumor materialized after an image that was posted by Pop Vinyls, via Movie Pilot, showed a grey Hulk figurine alongside numerous other Avengers: Age Of Ultron toys.

You can check out the original image that sparked these rumors below.

Now, of course, this could all just be a huge overreaction. However the fact that the grey Hulk, who is labelled as the “Hot Topic exclusive Savage Hulk” on the packet, appears alongside Pop Vinyls figurines for Captain America, Hawkeye, The Vision, Thor, Iron Man, and Ultron is a tad peculiar.

Normally, toys that are connected with one film are all released together. So, with this in mind, we already know that Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Liam Hemsworth, Robert Downey, Jr., and James Spader’s characters will certainly be in Avengers: Age Of Ultron alongside Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/The Hulk.

However, most moviegoers simply assumed that The Hulk would once again be green in the follow-up. Just like he was in The Avengers, 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, and Ang Lee’s 2003 Hulk.

But would it be a shock if the Hulk turned out to be grey in Joss Whedon’s film? Not as much as some of you might expect.

Because the Hulk’s first appearance in the comics depicted him as a grey monster rather than a green behemoth. His skin color later turned to green after a printing error that Marvel decided to stick with.

Earlier this week, the Inquisitr reported that numerous other spoilers regarding Avengers: Age Of Ultron were leaked thanks to the release of Marvel’s Lego Super Heroes box set.

One of the descriptions that came with this Avengers: Age Of Ultron box set teased about the potential battle between Robert Downey, Jr.’s Iron Man and Ultron, who will be voiced by James Spader.

“Team up with [Iron Man] to take on the Ultron army in an ultimate battle! Defend against aerial attacks from the Ultron vehicle piloted by the Sub-Ultron officer. Take cover as Sub-Ultron troopers leap from the back of the vehicle and fire their stud shooters. Then activate [Iron Man’s] Super Jumper to topple the Sub-Ultron officer and bring the vehicle crashing to the ground!”
