Katy Perry Shapes Up For Super Bowl Show To Top Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Beyonce? [Video]


As Katy Perry prepares to headline the 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show with everything from a football-themed pedicure to customized workouts, experts already are predicting the odds that she’ll outdo past performers such as Beyonce, Britney Spears, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, and Prince. And although she’s known for her ability to roar, music gurus say that she has a record number of tough acts to follow, reported Today.

When it comes to memorable performances, Beyonce literally lit up the stadium for the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013, as shown below.

But for Beatles believers, Sir Paul McCartney still stands out for his classic style. He’s in the same category as the Rolling Stones and The Who when it comes to the oldies-but-goodies Super Bowl performers.

And then, of course, there were the Super Bowl halftime shows that packed music superstars into a get-to-your-feet-and-yell endlessly exciting performance. High on that list was the halftime show combining Britney Spears with Aerosmith, NSYNC, Nelly, and Mary J. Blige.

So with all that pressure, how is Katy Perry preparing for the Super Bowl? With a football-themed pedicure, of course, revealed People.

Katy posted a photo of her pretty toes with a caption.

“Even my tippy toes are ready,” she wrote.

Katy also is ready with several different costumes, and her friend Jeremy Scott is hoping that he’s planned her costumes to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions or problems.

“[Expect] lots of excitement, lots of outfit changes, which is very difficult to do with this kind of setup. It’s going to be something where people are surprised, it’ll be a very iconic moment for her. It’s classic Katy Perry and classic Jeremy Scott!”

As for staying in shape for that energetic halftime show, Katy depends on celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, according to the Belfast Telegraph.

“To stay toned and fit, but retain her curves, Katy aims to exercise five days a week, doing short, high-intensity workouts – including lunges and hip thrusts,” said Harley. “These tone, as well as boost her metabolism, and can be done anywhere.”

As the Inquisitr reported, Harley also trains Jessica Simpson, to whom he has provided weight loss guidance. He recommends eating before you attend a special event, such as a Super Bowl party, by consuming protein such as a hard-boiled egg.

Then at the party buffet, pile up your plate with vegetables before heading to the protein section to stick to the type of low-carb diet he recommends.

“Load up on a lean protein like roasted turkey, ham, or a lean cut of brisket. The idea is that you fill up on that stuff so you don’t go overboard with the potatoes and breads,” advises Pasternak.
