Glassdoor Reveals The 25 Best Jobs In America For 2015 – Are You Qualified?

The 25 best jobs in America for 2015 have been revealed, and most of them are in the fields of technology, healthcare, and professional services. When it comes to making money and having your career take off in new paths, Glassdoor states that these are the jobs you really want to get yourself into.

This is not just a list of random jobs and professions. On the list, the 25 best jobs are based on each job’s overall Glassdoor Job Score.

“The Glassdoor Job Score is determined using three key factors – earning potential based on average annual base salary, career opportunities rating and number of job openings. The jobs that made this list stand out across all three categories.”

According to Glassdoor, the number one overall job is that of a “Physician Assistant,” which has a job score of 4.8 overall. The average base salary is $111,376 and there are more than 45,000 job openings available.

Coming in second with a job score of 4.6 is that of a “Software Engineer.” Technology is advancing all the time and there is always a need to develop and enhance new software. It’s obvious that good software engineers are hard to find as there are over 100,000 openings and an average base salary of $98,074.

Glassdoor doesn’t want people to forget certain things when looking for a job, and one may not be what you’d think.

Job Search Tip: “Don’t forget that when thinking about a new job, you also want to consider other aspects that can make it enjoyable – this includes reading company reviews to see what a company culture is like, reading up on the benefits offered and getting more details into compensation i.e. bonuses, equity, commission, etc.”

All of the 25 best jobs in America for 2015 have a Glassdoor score that ranges from 1.0 to 5.0, and that doesn’t mean other jobs are bad. No, that just means that looking at salary and potential for advancement is highest in these.

On the top 25 list, not a single job is lower than a rating of 4.2, of which many are tied for that spot.

As the SF Gate pointed out, the highest paying job on the list is that of a “Finance Manager” which has an average base salary of $122, 865. The lowest paying on the Glassdoor list is a “Physical Therapist” with an average of $64,806 per year.
