Def Leppard Schedules World Tour For Summer 2015

Popular hard rock band Def Leppard will play a show at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand this summer, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported today. Def Leppard will play at the fair’s opening night, August 27, along with Styx and Tesla. The tickets for the Def Leppard, Styx, and Tesla show are $67 and $52. The Pioneer Press reports this is the fifth time Def Leppard has played a show at the Grandstand.

Def Leppard, along with Styx and Tesla, are going to open the Great Allentown Fair, LehighValleyLive is reporting today. Def Leppard, who have headlined the Great Allentown Fair four previous times, will do so September 1 of this year.

The Def Leppard tour summer, which finishes up with the St. Paul, Minnesota and Allentown, Pennsylvania state fair shows, will include more than two dozen shows including stops in several cities in Canada and Europe as well. During the tour, Def Leppard will play 13 shows in Canada as well as five shows in Eastern Europe and three shows in Germany. Def Leppard will also play shows in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland during the summer tour.

“Def Leppard is best known for such popular songs as ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me,’ ‘Photograph,’ ‘Rock of Ages,’ ‘Animal’ and ‘Foolin’.’ The English glam-metal band’s 1983 and 1987 albums ‘Pyromania’ and ‘Hysteria,’ respectively, have each achieved diamond-selling status,” LehighValleyLive reported.

Def Leppard joined veteran rockers Kiss for a show and partied like it’s 1989, the Inquisitr reported last year. Def Leppard and Kiss played concerts in 42 cities in North America last year.

“Get out your hairspray and eyeliner…80s hair band favorites Def Leppard and leather clad, make up wearing rock band Kiss announced the ‘2014 Heroes Tour’ today. The 42 city North American tour will start June 23 in West Valley City, Utah, and will wind down August 31 in Woodlands, Texas. The announcement was made at a press conference from the House of Blues that was streamed live on music website Live Nation,” the Inquisitr reported.

Def Leppard was formed in Sheffield, England in 1977 and released their first album, On Through the Night, in 1980. Def Leppard achieved their first major commercial success with their third studio album, Pyromania, released in 1983. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Def Leppard also registered multi-platinum sales with their 1987 Hysteria album and Adrenalize in 1992.

Def Leppard has continued to remain popular. The band has toured regularly through the 1990s to the present, and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Their Pyromania and Hysteria albums each registered sales in excess of 10 million records for Def Leppard.
