LuAnn De Lesseps To Be Upgraded To Full-Time Housewife On ‘The Real Housewives Of New York City?’

LuAnn de Lesseps is impressed with her season seven performance on The Real Housewives of New York City. Although the reality star was demoted ahead of season six, she could be headed for a full-time role on season seven.

According to a January 27 report by Radar Online, de Lesseps recently spoke to OK! Magazine about her role on the Bravo reality series.

“As you saw last season, I was part-time but I was really on every episode. I really pulled my weight in terms of the show.”

After Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thompson, and Kristen Taekman were added to the cast throughout the last few seasons, LuAnn de Lesseps was taken from a full-time role to a part-time role on The Real Housewives of New York City. However, now that Drescher is gone, de Lesseps believes there may be room for her to hold an apple once again.

“I think I will be,” she said of a possible promotion, adding that she felt Bravo has realized “how important [she is to] the franchise.”

Even if LuAnn de Lesseps isn’t given an apple for season seven, she claims her role is “not important to” her, as she loves “doing the show” no matter role she’s in.

“I’m here because I want to be here. Whether I have an apple in my hand it doesn’t matter to me.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Real Housewives of New York City cast will look a bit different when the show returns for season seven. In addition to Drescher’s absence, the cast will be reunited with one of its former stars: Bethenny Frankel.

In October, Frankel confirmed she was returning to the show after taking a few seasons off in a blog post on her official website.

“After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on ‘The Real Housewives of New York City.’ I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again.”

“After my talk show ended, I really had doubts about ever going back to television. I’ve been through a lot personally, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to expose myself to any more public scrutiny. That said, I’ve been so fortunate to be able to connect with the audience and inspire them to fulfill their wildest dreams. I learned a lot about myself through that experience. I really need to be able to express myself freely and creatively; I like when no two days are the same, and I don’t thrive when being filtered or edited.”

LuAnn de Lesseps and the rest of the cast return to Bravo for season seven of The Real Housewives of New York City later this year.
