Ancient Mars Islamic Civilization? NASA’s Mars Orbiter Photo ‘Shows’ Dome-Shaped Anomaly Similar to ‘Dome of the Rock’

Mars anomaly hunters have found a massive dome-shaped structure in a photo taken by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). The dome-shaped structure is strikingly similar to Jerusalem’s Dome of the Rock. Could it be evidence of an ancient Mars Islamic civilization?

The dome-shaped structure was discovered in a close-up of this MRO photo by YouTube UFO and Mars anomaly hunters, “Mars Moon Space Photo Zoom Club.” The photographic “evidence” was posted to YouTube on Jan. 21, 2015.

The Mars anomaly hunters described the strange structure on Martian terrain as, “The clearest picture ever of a dome-shaped construction, taken from Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.”

The dome-shaped structure, according to UFO Sightings Daily’s Scott Waring, “stands out from its environment.”

Waring thinks the dome could be a covering for a tunnel that leads below the ground to an alien base.

“A dome like object was found in a Mars photo this week and the dome does have a metallic or glass like appearance. The object stands out from its environment, both because of its shine and its shape. It also could be a covering for a tunnel that leads below the ground to a base. NASA has said many times that making a base in one of the holes on Mars would be easier if they could cover it and then create a oxygen rich environment inside. If NASA has thought about it, then it’s probably because they saw aliens doing it.”

But it is difficult to avoid noticing the striking similarity between the mysterious structure on the Martian surface and the Islamic Dome of the Rock (“Qubbat al-Sakhrah”) in Jerusalem.

The Martian structure is also strikingly similar to the dome of the Nur-Astana Mosque, located on the left side of the river in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan. The Astana mosque is the second largest in Central Asia, 40 meters in height as a symbol of the age of the Prophet Muhammad when he first began receiving revelations.

Jerusalem’s Dome of the Rock and the dome of the Nur-Astana Mosque have the same shiny bronze-golden color as the ancient Martian dome (see images below). Surely, Mars anomaly hunters don’t think this a coincidence.

Note that while part of the dome in the ancient Mars structure has exactly the same shiny color as the Dome of the Rock, the left side of the dome in the MRO photo is colorless. Mars anomaly hunters probably think this was due to the erosion of the ancient structure over millions of years, and when it was first built, it was probably identical to the Dome of the Rock, one of the oldest works of Islamic architecture that has been described as “Jerusalem’s most recognizable landmark.”

The Dome of the Rock is located on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. It was first completed in 691 CE, soon after the time of the Prophet Muhammad, by the Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik. The design is believed to have been inspired by previous Sassanid and Byzantine models.

The style has since become an architectural symbol of Islam and the Islamic culture.

Have Mars anomaly hunters uncovered in this curious large and shiny dome-shaped ancient Mars structure that “stands out from its environment” evidence of an ancient Mars Islamic civilization that thrived in oxygen-enriched underground bases?
