WWE News: Paul Heyman To Turn On Brock Lesnar And Help Seth Rollins Win WWE World Title At Royal Rumble PPV?

When it comes to managers and wrestlers, few have been paired better than Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. When you think of one man, you think of the other. So it should come as no surprise that they have not been separated in WWE since 2012 when Brock and Heyman came back. In the end however, Heyman is known for taking the guy he feels is best. Usually that is always Lesnar, but that could change tonight at the Royal Rumble PPV.

According to Daily Wrestling News, Heyman could turn on Lesnar tonight at the Rumble PPV. He’d then help Seth Rollins win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in some way. The idea is that WWE wants to turn Brock Lesnar babyface heading into WrestleMania and this concept would start tonight. To most, this makes no sense for Lesnar. He had a gradual turn at WWE Monday Night RAW this past week, but it was nothing you could point to and call a face turn for the Beast Incarnate.

An idea being tossed around is to have Heyman pair up with Seth Rollins to manage him. Since Lesnar is leaving WWE soon, Heyman needs a big name to work with. Rollins certainly fits that. WWE is still attempting to re-sign Lesnar, but it appears that they are having issues with it. This could be why they are planning a slight face turn.

The issue is that he is contracted through WrestleMania 31, and he is a terrible promo. Heyman was paired with Brock due to the fact that Brock could wrestle and not have to worry about promos. By taking Heyman away, you take away from what Brock Lesnar can bring to the table for Mania.

One concept also going through the rumor mill is to have John Cena beat Seth Rollins, causing Lesnar to freak out and attack Cena. This would allow Rollins to cash in his Money in the Bank opportunity. Heyman could then help Rollins take the win, which would show Heyman helping Rollins. He could then also end his program with Lesnar at WrestleMania and continue his alliance with Rollins after WrestleMania.

Heyman turning on Lesnar seems unlikely, as it goes against all reason. It only hurts Lesnar’s character going into WrestleMania. While Heyman could very well be instrumental in Rollins coming out of Royal Rumble as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, there has to be some concern over the idea of taking Heyman away from Lesnar in a time when he needs him the most. Rollins certainly needs help to come out as champion. If he plans up something perfect as a true architect would, he could manage to escape the night as champ. It is only the “how” that puzzles the world. However, it might involve Heyman.

In the end, the Royal Rumble will certainly be an interesting show for WWE. There are tons of rumors going around. We’ll have to wait and see which are true tonight as WrestleMania season truly kicks off.
