Diplo: Taylor Swift Fans Are ‘The Worst People’ And Send Death Threats

Diplo has apparently targeted Taylor Swift’s fans in a recent interview, claiming that they are “mean-spirited” and “evil.”

The 36-year-old rapper and DJ was quickly targeted and attacked by Taylor Swift’s fans shortly after he made negative comments about the “Blank Space” singer’s butt.

To retaliate, Diplo decided to take the low road and slammed Taylor’s fans in a recent interview with GQ magazine. In addition to calling them the “worst people in the world,” Diplo also mentions in his interview that they have sent him death threats.

“It sucks for me because now I have to not be as crazy as I am on the internet. Which totally sucks, because it’s not going to be fun anymore. But the repercussions are really bad. Like, Taylor Swift fans are really crazy. They threatened to murder me and stuff. It’s really bizarre and disgusting. They’re the worst people in the world. And I’m a pretty big fan. But they’re like ‘I wish your kids had Down syndrome.'”

Diplo continues by stating that Taylor Swift’s fans are “so evil,” claiming that he did not get anywhere near this type of response from Lady Gaga’s fans when he infamously took shots at the “Poker Face” singer.

“I dissed Lady Gaga before, and the gays were never even this mean. They’re funny. These people are like mean-spirited, evil human beings.”

Diplo further states that since he is not a politician, he should not have to be placed under such a huge microscope — especially since Taylor Swift “has like 40 million Twitter fans.” While he admits that the whole experience as been crazy, Diplo also confesses that he is one of Taylor Swift’s fans as well.

The Diplo vs. Taylor Swift’s fans battle first began back in November of last year. The rumored boyfriend of Katy Perry started a campaign that would allow Taylor to get a bigger butt.

He even started a “Get Taylor Swift A Booty” online campaign accepting donations.

However, “Royals” singer (and Taylor Swift’s BFF) Lorde did not bite her tongue and decided to fire back at Diplo through her Twitter page with a comment about his penis.

Apparently, Lorde was not the only person that reached out to Diplo to defend Taylor Swift. After his interview with GQ and insulting comments about Taylor Swift’s fans, odds are that those death threats and negative comments will not stop anytime soon.
