Carrie Underwood Posts Cute Pic Of Her Using Pregnant Belly As Tabletop

Carrie Underwood has realized one of the benefits of having a big belly: being able to use it as a tabletop for snacks. Early Thursday night, the singer tweeted a photo of herself looking down on a bowl of snacks that she has rested on her belly. She described using her belly as a tabletop as a “pregnancy perk.” With minimal makeup on, her short hair loose around her face, and wearing a comfy sweater, Carrie certainly looked as if she was enjoying relaxing on her couch.

The snack looks to be some healthy Chex Mix. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the American Idol alum and country superstar considers herself to be a “practical vegan,” and has remained conscious of working out and eating healthy during her pregnancy.

Underwood is currently expecting her first child with her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher. The two have been married since July 2010. She announced her pregnancy in early September 2014 with an Instagram photo. In the photo, her dogs, Ace and Penny, are dressed up in shirts that declare that they’ll be older siblings. Carrie’s growing belly is mostly covered up by her dogs and her arm. She wrote that Ace and Penny’s parents “couldn’t be prouder.”

A few weeks later, during an appearance on NBC’s Today, Carrie Underwood talked how “weird” it is that she’s going to be a mom. She also praised her own mother, saying that if she can be “even a little bit” like her own mom, she thinks that they’ll be good.

Last November, Underwood revealed to ABC News how she and Mike Fisher learned of their baby’s gender. She explained that she and Mike saw the baby on the ultrasound, but whenever the technician got close to the baby’s private parts, they would look away. They didn’t want to find out the baby’s gender in such a “sterile place.” Instead, they asked their doctor to write down the baby’s gender on a piece of paper.

Later, at a nice restaurant, they opened the paper. Carrie Underwood said that the paper confirmed what they were already thinking.

“Just the two of us in a nicer setting, but we both knew. So, that was just confirming our suspicions. We didn’t really speak of it before, ’cause we were both just like, ‘Whatever. It’s all good.’ But we knew it was a boy.”
