For once in his life, Kanye West may have said something sensible.
Kanye West spoke to Ryan Seacret on radio this morning about Rihanna being beaten by Chris Brown.
“I saw them at Clive’s. I know Rihanna a bit better because I went on tour with her and we really vibed out on a lot of creative ideas. With the touring, I gave all these reference of Graces Jones and Jean Paul-Goude. Back in the 80’s when pop stars just took it to a whole ‘nother level. I really feel that Rihanna is so important to our culture and pop music. I feel like she is the most important artist in music and has the most potential. Her taste level at her age and the songs she does and her style and her performance and her voice.”
“She has the potential to be the biggest artist of all time. In that sense, I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do anything and everything not help her in any situation. I don’t want to speak too much on it but I was completely devastated by the concept of what I heard to the point that I Was completely devastated during my “American Boy” performance (at the Grammys).
“It’s so devastating. As a person, I don’t care how famous she is or if she just worked at McDonald’s, that should never happen. It should never come to that place.”

Kanye West is a great guy and a cool cat. Stop ripping on him. I can't stand it. So what he has confidence, good for him. Not all black people are going to bow their heads and thank everyone who comes across them. He worked hard for his place in the industry and he honed his talent. He also has alot of heart.
I'm glad at least one star has the bal….guts to come out and defend Rihanna. What happened to her was inexcusable, and I'm tired of hearing people make excuses for Brown. There is no situation in which you are allowed to strangle someone until their unconscious and then beat them and bite them. And if it's a man, doing that to a woman, who is physically weaker…it's vomit inducing. (well, it is in any case)

FYI 80% of Americans have herpes… so that means if you have had sex with more than 2 people that weren't virgins you have more than a 96% chance of having herpes. The same is true with genital warts. Herpes and genital warts don't always appear immediately…many people don't notice from months to many years after contracting the virus. Additionally herpes simplex is the same strand of virus that causes cold sores, chicken pox, and shingles.
Herpes is not a reason to beat someone, and all of you suggesting that she deserved it because of that need to shut the fuck up because you're uneducated about STD's and shouldn't be having sex anyway.
