Diplo Says He Knows Taylor Swift’s ‘Secrets’
Diplo is talking about Taylor Swift again. The DJ, who backed ex-flame Katy Perry up in a feud with the country/pop singer, is once again speaking out against the “Shake It Off” singer.
In a bizarre interview for GQ magazine, Diplo admits that he knows Taylor Swift’s “secrets,” and that he’s “scared for his life” because of her fan base. We must point out that Diplo is a 36-year-old man, and Taylor Swift is a 25-year-old woman, whose fan base mostly ranges from tweens to teens.
While he doesn’t go on to reveal these so-called “secrets” of Swift’s that he’s terrified of, he admits that he needs to watch what he says on social media because of the backlash he received while leaving an tongue-in-cheek remark about Swift on his Twitter.
“It sucks for me, because now I have to not be as crazy as I am on the Internet. Which totally sucks, because it’s not going to be fun anymore. But the repercussions are really bad. Like, Taylor Swift fans are really crazy. They threatened to murder me and stuff. It’s really bizarre, and disgusting. They’re the worst people in the world.”
He continued to discuss how crazy her fans are, which is where the talk about Swift’s mystery secrets come into conversation.
“She has like 40 million Twitter fans. Forty million! Yeah. It’s crazy. I’m a fan though. Her powers — she’s big. She’s strong, bro. Taylor Swift is very strategic with her friends and enemies. And I know lots of secrets. I can’t divulge, but I know a lot of stuff about her. And she’s definitely, there’s definitely scary stuff going on. And I’m scared. I’m scared for my life.”
According to Billboard, GQ decided to remove the quotes about Swift, and then replaced them. A rep from GQ told Billboard the reason the quotes about Swift were removed was “because the full Diplo story provides context.”
Diplo’s history with Taylor Swift stems from Swift’s feud with then-girlfriend Katy Perry. The origins of Perry’s feud with Swift is unknown, but many say that it goes back to their mutual ex John Mayer, who the “Dark Horse” singer is rumored to be seeing again.
At the time, Diplo sent out a tweet that referenced Taylor.

Then Lorde sent out a tweet to Diplo to defend the singer.
