Cynthia Bailey On Her Dinner Parties: ‘I Do The Cooking Myself’

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey may not have hosted many dinner parties on the show, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have a system in place. In fact, Bailey is the queen of hosting her own informal dinner parties because she wants to put the focus on her friends. Rather than go all-out with a chef and some nice clothes, Cynthia reveals that it is more about the company for her.

This week, Cynthia Bailey revealed that she is actually the one cooking up a storm when she has people over. In fact, for her, it is all about being social and enjoying the time with friends, but that shouldn’t mean she can’t cook herself. Bailey talked to Ebony magazine this week, and she revealed exactly what happens when she is planning her dinner parties.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey is the one who will go shopping for a dinner party. And Bailey won’t go overboard on the ingredients either. For her, the simple things, such as salsa and chips, hummus, olives, and cheese and crackers are all things you may find at her home.

“My dinner parties are informal,” Cynthia Bailey has revealed, adding, “I do the cooking myself. I don’t have a big fancy caterer come over. I’m in the kitchen sautéing the garlic myself. I’ll make garlic shrimp bow tie pasta, a green salad with fresh strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and red onion. Light, fun and easy.”

Cynthia would rather spend little time in the kitchen getting the food ready, and spend more time with her friends.

“The most rewarding part of doing my dinner parties is just taking the time to appreciate my friends, cook a meal for them, just giving my time and having my friends spend time with me,” Cynthia Bailey reveals, adding, “My friends and family add me to my life because that’s what life is all about. What’s the point of working… if you don’t have anyone to enjoy it with?”

Maybe Cynthia Bailey will be inviting Demetria McKinney and Claudia Jordan over for dinner soon. According to the Inquisitr, Bailey felt that these ladies were met with preconceived notions or judgments on the show. While NeNe Leakes and Phaedra Parks were quick to dismiss the new ladies, Cynthia may be giving them a chance.

Plus, Bailey has been very busy with her business ventures, so she doesn’t have time to whip up a big meal. She recently revealed that she was launching an eyewear line, putting her own twist on glass frames.
