‘Teen Mom 2’ Custody Battle: Leah Messer Would Never Give Up Primary Custody To Corey Simms

The Teen Mom 2 custody battle between Leah Messer and Corey Simms may have been temporarily resolved last month, but is it over for good?

Currently, Leah has primary custody of the twin girls, Ali and Aleeah. However, after rumors of Leah’s alleged drug abuse started swirling, Corey Simms filed for custody the girls. Of course, there was a lot of speculation over whether or not the judge would grant custody to Corey and his wife, Miranda, especially since there were so many crazy rumors swirling. Initially, Leah did not speak out about the court hearing that took place in December 2014, which had people thinking that perhaps she had lost custody, but that wasn’t so. It turns out that the Teen Mom 2 custody agreement stayed virtually unchanged, Corey Simms being granted one extra day with the girls. Now, a source is revealing to InTouch that Leah would never give up primary custody of her girls.

“There’s no way in h*ll she would ever give Corey and [his current wife] Miranda primary custody of the girls.”

There was a time when co-parenting between Leah Messer, Corey Simms, Jeremy Calvert, and Miranda Simms was great. All four parties were able to get along for the twins and, although the situation may have been awkward, many fans of the show admired the young couples for acting so mature. A lot has changed, though, and while they still co-parent, it seems tensions may be a bit higher these days.

Despite the Teen Mom 2 custody battle between their parents, Ali and Aleeah definitely have a lot of family who love them. Corey Simms’ dad, Jeff, recently gave an update on Ali’s health. As some fans may recall, Ali has muscular dystrophy, a condition which can make it hard for her to keep up with her sister and also hard for her to walk and run. On the last season of the show, Ali was shown using her wheelchair, but it looks like the little girl is doing well with her development and is even walking and running!

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Corey Simms and Leah Messer are both filming for the sixth season of Teen Mom 2.

Although Ali is doing great, there are still times she needs to use her wheelchair, something that Corey Simms has had a hard time coming to terms with. In fact, when the Teen Mom 2 custody battle started, Leah was shocked that Corey had filed for full custody, especially since he was reluctant to use Ali’s wheelchair. However, it is clear that both parties love the girls very much and want what is best for them.
