Teresa Giudice Is Doing ‘Amazing’ In Prison, Joe Giudice ‘A Rock’ For Four Daughters

Teresa Giudice has been in jail for almost three weeks, and her oldest daughter, Gia Giudice, says that her mom is “doing amazing.” Gia recently sat down with Access Hollywood to chat about life without her mom, who was sentenced to 15 years behind bars in a federal fraud case.

“I knew it was coming, and I mean like, my sisters, were okay. They obviously miss her dearly, but we’re okay. My dad has been amazing, he’s honestly the rock. He has been helping us so much,” Gia said.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Teresa’s family visited her at FCI Danbury in Connecticut last weekend for the first time since she surrendered on January 5. Teresa had previously said that she’d like Joe to bring the girls to see her once a week. It’s unknown if that is still the plan.

Teresa Giudice has been handling the transition to prison life really well. Her attorney said that his client really has adapted to her new life, and while it’s not easy, it’s something that Teresa was prepared for. She is depending on correspondence with her family to keep her going, but otherwise, she’s handling things much better than most people thought that she would.

“She’s doing great. I got a series of emails from her and she is doing phenomenally. It seems like she is getting acclimated very well. She tells me that everybody is nice and everybody is treating her respectfully. She said both the staff and the inmates are being nice to her and that she is getting along fine.”

Gia Giudice, 14, is instrumental in helping her dad raise her three younger sisters. This is certainly a trying time for the family, but Gia is mature enough to step into the older sister/mother role. Her siblings look up to her, and really need her as a role model right now. It definitely sounds like she is a strong young lady.

Thankfully, Teresa is “gone” but not lost. Gia says that being able to talk to her mom every day helps a lot.

“We can talk to her on a daily, and we have access to emailing her whenever we want, so that’s amazing. It definitely helps with coping with missing her and stuff,” Gia said.

Teresa Giudice will be released from prison on February 5, 2016. It’s not all going to be roses and butterflies, but the Giudices are going to get through it.

In the meantime, you can write to Tre if you wish. According to Radar Online, Teresa is able to receive mail, so if fans choose to send her well-wishes while she’s away, she will likely receive those messages. The site even posted an address where people can send their letters, if anyone feels like sending a little something to cheer Teresa up. Of course, there’s no guarantee that what you send will make it to her, but some will undoubtedly make an effort.
