Alyssa Bates’ Baby Gender: ‘Bringing Up Bates’ Star Reveals Big News With Hubby John Webster

Alyssa Bates and John Webster of Bringing Up Bates are expecting their first baby this spring. She is about 29 weeks into her pregnancy now, and she just shared some big news with fans of the family and the show. What gender is the baby, and what name have the couple chosen?

The big news came via Alyssa’s Instagram page. Webster said that the baby is a girl, and the couple plans to name her Allie Jane. Alyssa added that she feels as if April 10, the baby’s due date, can’t come soon enough. She put in hashtags referencing gift registries at both Target and Babies R Us as well.

Fans watched as Alyssa and John shared the big news of the pregnancy with family during the season premiere of Bringing Up Bates earlier in the month. Little Allie will join cousin Bradley as the next generation of the family builds. Bradley was born to Alyssa’s brother Zach and his wife Whitney last fall.

From the looks of the latest previews for Bringing Up Bates, there could be good news ahead regarding another addition to the extended family as well. Viewers know that Erin and Chad Paine suffered a miscarriage last year, but they are headed back to the doctor for an ultrasound amid hopes that they are expecting again. If they are, it could be quite the year for Gil and Kelly Jo Bates as they watch their family expand once again.

Though the Bates family lives in Tennessee, Alyssa and John Webster live in Florida. Alyssa has talked about how different life is in a quiet home away from her large family of 19 kids, and it’s clear that she’s anxious to start filling her life with kids of her own. She’s said she’s open to having about 10 children, and fans can’t wait to see her get started with little Allie Jane.

Fans of 19 Kids and Counting have been familiar with the Bates family for some time now, as the Bates and Duggar families have been friends for years. Many fans of both shows are enjoying following both Alyssa and Jill Duggar Dillard in their pregnancies, as Jill is due in March.

Alyssa Bates’ baby bump may still be pretty petite at this point, according to the photos she’s shared via social media, but she definitely has a pregnancy glow. Fans can’t wait for more news on Alyssa and John Webster’s baby Allie Jane come the spring, and everybody will be tuning in to Bringing Up Bates for updates leading to the big event.
