Obama Advisor: Romney Wouldn’t Have Had Courage To Kill Bin Laden

Obama Campaign Head David Axelrod has made an outstanding statement about the testicular fortitude of Mitt Romney. He claims that he doesn’t believe Romney would have had the courage to order the raid that killed Osama Bin-Laden.

In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s This week Axelrod told him:

“I’m not sure Mitt Romney would have made that decision. It was a very courageous decision.”

Romney had commented in an earlier interview that:

“We’re delighted that he gave the order to take out Osama bin Laden. Any president would have done that, but this one did, and that’s a good thing. I’m not going to say everything he’s done is wrong.”

It was a rare compliment to give to Obama in the midst of the campaign season.

Romney has been very critical of President Obama’s foreign policy, consistently bashing the president for his treatment of Israel, his handling of Iran and his general attitude towards the military. Opinion polls consistently show that Republicans pol better on their handling of the military.

Axelrod also went after Romney for his stance on the economy. A common theme of this campaign has been the Democrats insistence that Republicans want the economy to stay in the same shape it has been so that it will improve their chances of defeating Obama.

Axelrod is not the only Democrat to be highlighting Romney’s background working for Investment house Bain Capital. They are trying to paint a picture of Romney as being a corporate raider and insensitive to what is going on with Middle Class Americans.

Do you believe Romney or any other Republican would have given the order to kill Osama Bin Laden?
