Fans To Beyonce: ‘Get Over Yourself’ As Singer Threatens To Sue Etsy Over ‘Feyonce’ Name

Beyonce wants you to know that it doesn’t pay to mess around with her name. And one online company is learning the hard way. TMZ is reporting today that Beyonce has threatened to sue Etsy for selling merchandise under the label “Feyonce,” a name that resembles the name and brand Beyonce.

Etsy is a popular online spot that sells beautiful, rare and unique items. Some of the Feyonce merchandise has been taken down, and the other remaining items are expected to come down soon. The name Feyonce is also the name of a media news publishing company in the UK, as well as the name of an up and coming musical band.

Some say the Etsy company is capitalizing off of her name, and that Beyonce has every right to demand that they take it down. Others say Beyonce is just being a diva by threatening to sue the company over the merchandise – stating that she has enough money, and that the Feyonce merchandise couldn’t possibly hurt the star. Here is a sneak peak of some of the comments.

“Get over yourself, it’s a freaking coffee mug on etsy”

“Ugh I’m getting annoyed with her!!!”

“I so agree. She is really so all into herself now.”

“She probably didn’t trademark the name. You don’t see drake going nuts about yolo (ew) or lil Wayne doing that to *bling bling* she needs to calm the heck down.”

This latest news is not the only time Beyonce has been accused of exhibiting diva-like behavior. Rumors about Queen Bey’s nasty side has been the subject of many underground gossip sites for years.

During the 2013 Superbowl games, Beyonce was accused of being difficult to work with. But, when the singer requested to have Blue Ivy’s crib shipped to the venue, the execs blew their top, according to Entertainmentwise.

“She’s by far one of the most difficult celebrities we’ve ever dealt with. The list is as long as my arm. She may be a superstar, but this day is about football, not her.”

That same year, singer Keisha Cole had a problem with Beyonce’s song ‘Bow Down, Bi**ches.” In fact, the singer was so fed up with Beyonce’s attitude that she made the following post to her Twitter.

“First “Women need to Stick together” now bitches better Bow. Smh. But it’s all G! Chicks stay shooting the s**t. But when I speak my mind its a prob. #Well #StayMad.”

She also went on to say that she keeps it real – unlike Beyonce who is self righteous when she needs to be – but can become quite nasty at certain times.

But with all of this talk about Beyonce’s diva-like ways, here is one interesting coincidence. The pronunciation of the name Feyonce sounds like it could be a take on the word ‘Fea’ which means ugly in Spanish.
