Gene Simmons And Shannon Tweed Say Sex Is More Important Than Romance

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed had two children, dated for 28 years and then finally got married but it turns out it didn’t have anything to do with a lack of romance, mostly because both parts of the couple prefer sex over tingly happy feelings.

Talking to Hollyscoop on Thursday Simmons, 62, revealed that his secret to an active happy marriage was to “put out” while adding:

“Romance is interesting, but somebody much more prolific than I am put it better – she should be a Madonna in the kitchen and a wh@re in the bedroom.”

In response to Gene Simmons‘ response his 54-year-old wife seemed to agree and didn’t take issue with his “wh@re” comment.

“[You have to] keep having sex in different ways,” she revealed while adding, “Try to think of something new.”

Tweed even admits that their kids know about their sex over romance stance and she’s thankful they’re old enough to leave the house.

“Thank god the children are grown up,” Tweed says. “As soon as they hear noise from upstairs, they leave the house. That’s good.”

While the couple may have a healthy sex life there’s at least a little bit of romance and heart felt feelings needed in the relationship for Shannon Tweed, before the couple wed in October their marriage appeared to be on the rocks after Shannon Tweed felt slighted by Gene Simmons for his refusal to marry her after 28 years together. Before the marriage Gene claimed to be against the act of marriage.
