Kevin Hart Buys Out Ohio Theater, Gives Away 500 Movie Tickets

Actor Kevin Hart must really want people to enjoy his new movie, The Wedding Ringer — even if it means that he pays for them to go see it!

Hart announced on Twitter that, to show appreciation for his fans, he was going to give back in a major way — one that undoubtedly surprised many of his biggest fans and critics.

Ohio fans that follow Kevin on Twitter were likely very excited when Kevin started tweeting about “Operation Smack Y’All City in the Mouth” on his official page.

A few minutes after that first tweet, the 35-year-old actor followed it up with “breaking news.”

Hart later mentioned that he would tweet the address to the theater as soon as he purchased the tickets and would give them away on a “first come, first serve” basis.

Once the tickets were purchased, Kevin gave his followers the green light and revealed the new name of his “operation” on Twitter — “Operation Show My Fans How Much I Love Them.”

Kevin Hart apparently bought out the Cinemark at Levi’s Commons in Perrysburg, Ohio, for two showings on Wednesday scheduled for 7:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Through his tweets, he instructed his followers to go to the ticket window and say, “Kevin Hart sent me.”

Why did Kevin Hart decided to purchase 500 movie tickets in Ohio just to give them away without any strings attached? He must have expected many people to wonder the same thing, which is why he explained the main reason for his massive ticket giveaway during his Twitter rant as well.

To say that Kevin Hart has had a busy year so far could be considered a major understatement. Within the past three weeks, Kevin Hart has been bouncing from stop to stop on his hit comedy tour, from sold-out venue to sold-out venue. In addition, he has been actively promoting his new hit film, The Wedding Ringer, starring Josh Gad and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting.

Hart also hosted the recent episode of Saturday Night Live. It’s only a matter of time before Kevin Hart is right back to promoting another potential hit movie, Get Hard, starring Will Ferrell and T.I.

It speaks volumes that, even with his busy schedule, Kevin Hart would still take the time to go above and beyond for his fans.
