Charles Barkley Uses NFL Playoffs to Promote Tonight’s SNL Gig [Video]

If you’ve been watching the NFL playoffs today then you know that Sir Charles Barkely will be hosting Saturday Night Live tonight. Barkley appeared during the pre-game and halftime shows of the Cincinatti Bengals / Houston Texans game to make his colorful commentary and to promote tonight’s SNL gig.

Charles didn’t reveal too much about tonight’s show, but he did say that the show was going to be “great,” it was going to be “funny” and “Shaq is going to be there.” Of course, it might just be the character of “Shaq” as Barkley has used his SNL appearances (his hosted twice before) to make fun of his co-hosts.

Here are some promos for tonight’s SNL.

Barkley hosted SNL for the first time back in 1993. He hosted again in 2010. Thanks to Kenan Thompson, Barkely has appeared a few other times on SNL. Here’s a video of Sir Charles and his fellow commentators breaking down one of Thompson’s impressions.

Barkley got in a little bit of trouble this weekend when he called his new Weight Watchers gig the biggest scam he’s ever seen. Barkley later clarified the statement saying that his job at Weight Watchers was a scam because he was getting paid to lose weight.

Do you think Charles Barkely will make fun of his new Weight Watchers commercials tonight on SNL?
