‘Lizzie McGuire Cast’ Reunites For Pic – Without Hilary Duff?

Lizzie McGuire fans have something to be happy about since the cast recently reunited for a now-viral picture.

More than ten years after the popular Disney Channel series ended, each of the cast members that showed up seemed to still like each other.

Actress Lalaine Vergara (who played Miranda) posted a picture of herself, Clayton Snyder, and Jake Thomas on her Twitter page Sunday along with a throwback picture of the three of them during the series’ original run.

Snyder played Ethan Craft, Lizzie McGuire’s big crush. Jake Thomas played Matt McGuire, Lizzie’s kid brother. As Miranda, Lalaine played Lizzie’s best friend.

Hollywood Life reports that the gang must have decided to take the picture when they got together for Jake’s birthday, since he also shared pictures of himself with the cast from Cory in the House on his own Twitter page.

However, the Lizzie McGuire reunion picture seems to be missing someone — none other than Lizzie herself!

The fact that actress Hilary Duff did not show up to the same party that her former co-stars did might spark rumors and speculation. Before rushing to judgment, though, it is important to take into consideration that Hilary might have her hands full with her new TVLand series, Younger.

Another big life change that occurred since Lizzie McGuire officially wrapped for good ten years ago is that Hilary Duff has a family of her own now in real-life.

Not only is she back with her formerly estranged husband, but Hilary is also busy caring for her 2-year-old son, Luca Cruz.

In a September 2014 interview with the Huffington Post, the 27-year-old actress openly talked about whether or not she would consider a Lizzie McGuire reunion.

“I love it! I would be totally open to it. My schedule is a little busy right now. But um … why not?”

In the same interview, Duff also took the opportunity to speak about how much Lizzie McGuire meant to her and many others as well.

“I mean, so many people loved her. I loved her. Honestly, working on that show, I got so strong with my physical comedy and all the things that they would throw at me. I got covered in goo every week, and I got, like, smashed in the face with a locker every single week… It was a really, really fun show.”

From the reactions posted on Twitter by fans of the series, it is apparently clear that there still might be just enough buzz to turn this reunion into some sort of return for Lizzie McGuire.

Should they have an official Lizzie McGuire reunion show or even a big-screen movie?
