One Direction Tour: McBusted and Samantha Jade Win Support Slots


As just about every fan of pop music on the planet knows One Direction are about to his the road on another massive tour. Last year’s One Direction tour was seen by an estimated 3.4 million people and made the band over $250 million. As everyone knows, One Direction were put together on Simon Cowell’s UK version of X Factor in 2010, and since then they have grown to become arguably the biggest pop band on the planet.

As Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan prepare to set out on another massive tour, the Australian edition of the Telegraph has announced that One Direction will be supported by McBusted and Australian singer Samantha Jade will also be grabbing a slice of the action.

One Direction’s “On The Road Again” tour kicks of in Sydney February 7 and if the past is anything to go by, supporting the teen idols will be a massive career boost for Jade. The pint-sized 27-year-old singer from Perth was the 2012 “X Factor” Australia winner.

The Mail reports that last year Aussie pop-rock band 5 Seconds Of Summer’s supported One Direction and if their luck is anything to go by Samantha’s fame and fortune could be set to change overnight. Sydney teens Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin have become a household names since acting as the opening act for One Direction on their “Take Me Home” tour.

The Telegraph cheekily hints that the presence of the stunning Samantha on all of One Directions shows down under is sure to lead to a fresh bout of rumors about heart-throb Harry Styles love life.

Meanwhile Unreality TV reports that British “Man Band” McBusted will also be supporting One Direction on tour. The band who were formed from an amalgamation of Busted and McFly announced their involvement in a video they posted on YouTube.

One Direction’s Niall Horan is more than a little excited by the announcement that McBusted will be supporting them in Australia. He took to social media platform twitter to tell his 21 million followers that he was “so excited he did a little wee.”

At present there is no confirmation as to who will support One Direction on the North American leg of the tour. There has been some speculation that the boys could be joined by Jamie Scott who has of course written a number of 1D tracks.

Jamie has been teasing his fans on Twitter saying that he is going to be touring all over America with some friends but has not yet revealed who those friends are.

One Direction starts the Australian leg of their tour in Sydney on February 7.

They make their way through Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and finish up in Perth on February 20.
