Keri Russell Welcomes Daughter Willa Lou

Us Weekly has learned that the holiday season was extra celebratory to 35 year-old Keri Russell and husband Shane Deary as they welcomed their second child, daughter Willa Lou.

The Felicity actress confirmed through her Rep that on December 27th the couple became parents for the second time. Daughter Willa Lou joins their family of four, including older brother River Russell Deary, 4.

In 2008 Russell told The New York Observer her thoughts on motherhood. “I just feel like birth is one of the most powerful things that can happen to a woman.”

Kerri Russell of Felicity fame met her craftsman and contractor husband Shane Deary through mutual friends and the couple became engaged in 2006 just after six months of dating. A wedding followed in 2007, and the birth of their first child soon followed.

On one of the couples first dates, Keri Russell recalled her “magic moment” to Elle Decor in 2011. It happened with Dreary concocted a Rube Goldbergesque contraption to bar her cats from climbing into the kitchen cupboards. “He used whatever he could find in the apartment—a rubber band, a paper clip, some string,” said Russell.

Besides motherhood Russell has a lot on her plate. Up next is the quirky comedy “Goats” which she stars alongside Vera Farmiga, and David Duchovny. After that it’s the novel adaption titled “Austenland”, the much anticipated lead role since the 2007 film “Waitress.”
