‘Whitney’: Sherri Shepherd Live Tweets Movie With Some Jokes

Comedian Sherri Shepherd delivered punchline after punchline on Twitter Saturday night during the premiere of the Lifetime biopic, Whitney.

The former View panelist did not hold anything back as she live tweeted the entire broadcast on her official Twitter page.

To set the stage, Sherri made sure that she showed her appreciation for the film by tweeting kudos to Angela Bassett for her directorial debut.

Sherri then focused on the first sex scene between Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown — the same scene which apparently caused Twitter to explode with reactions and responses. After the second sex scene of the movie, Sherri did not hesitate to comment on the fact that Bobby Brown made Whitney breakfast the next morning.

In addition to the sex scenes, another aspect of the Whitney film that generated a lot of reactions from viewers were the high-quality wigs worn by all of the characters – especially actress Yaya DaCosta. Shepherd was able to find a clever way to highlight the sex scenes and the high-quality wigs within the same tweet.

Sherri Shepherd was even able to take a quick shot at Bobby Brown’s career after the actor portraying him commented on being able to take a break from his career and make a strong comeback.

Even though many people may have strayed away from commenting on the drug use in their tweets, Sherri Shepherd was able to address the topic in several hilarious tweets that were still somewhat respectful.

Long before Whitney premiered, Sherri Shepherd tweeted a comment mentioning Daily News about how comics should be able to work freely without having their words taken out of context.

Through her live tweets during the Whitney broadcast, Sherri seemed to prove that she can skillfully make jokes without going too far. What did you think about Sherri Shepherd’s live tweets?
