Jessie J Should Have Spellchecked Before Getting A Tattoo

Jessie J taped an appearance for The Graham Norton Show on BBC1 this week. Not only did Jessie debut a new haircut, she also shared a very embarrassing story about one of her tattoos.

The “Bang Bang” hit maker has a few tattoos including the words “Stand up” and “a heart made up of upside treble and bass clef behind her left ear,” according to the Mirror. But there’s one that Jessie J got that she’s less than proud of.

Jessie J told Norton that quite a while ago she got this phrase tattooed on her side. The ink was supposed to say, “Don’t lose who you are in the blur of the star!” Beautiful and prophetic for someone meant to be a star, right? Except, that’s not what it actually says.

Jessie J explained that her mom had to point out that there was a small mistake. Jessie J’s actual tattoo says, “Don’t loose who you are in the blur of the star!” Oops, that’s one too many o’s!

Jessie J admitted she’s embarrassed and does what she can to try and hide it. Her best option for hiding it? The star says she “always wear high waisted” outfits to cover it, although romping on the beach in a bikini can make that hard. Jessie J added that she was not “going to put a spelling mistake that close to the camera.”

The “Pricetag” singer told Norton that she does plan to get it covered up at some point, and then that will be the last of her body art collection.

“I’m going to get it covered and I’m not having any more tattoos.”

I guess one spelling error is enough to turn anyone off of getting more ink.

Jessie J also talked about how she will be headlining a tour shortly.

Jessie J also discussed how she will be appearing on the Australian version of The Voice.

According to the Daily Mail, Jessie J said, “I love Australia. I can’t wait to see what voices I discover.”

Jessie J has a big year ahead of her: being a judge on The Voice, touring, and getting that cover up of her embarrassing tattoo snafu.
