Teresa Giudice: ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Star Crying Herself To Sleep In Prison, Sources Say

Teresa Giudice is reportedly having a very hard time transitioning from the Real Housewives of New Jersey to federal prison.

The reality star, who just started a 15-month sentence for mortgage fraud, is reportedly the target of other prisoners and crying herself to sleep at night.

Sources within Danbury Federal Prison say that Teresa’s notoriety is working against her with fellow inmates, who have picked on her since the day she arrived.

“Someone left an old magazine with her on the cover on a table where she could see it. It was mean spirited,” a source told Us Weekly magazine, via Radar Online.

“The magazines with her face on them are all over the place.”

Teresa Giudice has also lost the look that made her famous on the Bravo reality show. Prison officials took away her hair extensions and makeup, leaving her looking nothing like the character seen on Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“They can’t believe she looks so different in real life,” a source told Us Weekly.

There could be more trouble ahead for Teresa Giudice, sources say. Other inmates reportedly want to make an example out of her, leaving her on edge.

“She knows to watch her back,” In Touch reported.

“She’s been cautioned that some of these women might be nice in the beginning – but they like to instigate trouble.”

After living in a 10,000-square-foot mansion, Teresa now shares a cell with four other women. But, so far, she has gotten along well with them, a source told Radar Online.

Giudice is also keeping busy. She has a list of daily chores to keep her cell in order, including making her bed in accordance with the prison’s strict regulations.

“Each inmate is also responsible for sweeping and mopping their cell floor, removing trash, and ensuring it is clean and sanitary,” the Inmate Admission & Orientation Handbook noted.

Teresa Giudice has quite a bit of time to adjust to prison life. She isn’t scheduled to be released until the spring of 2016.
