Stevie J Of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ Could Go To Prison For Two Years

The world was first introduced to the weird-smiling Steven Jordan – better known as Stevie J – on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, and now Stevie could be on his way to prison for two years, according to TMZ. Stevie J reportedly owes $1 million in child support, something he served time in jail for in June of 2013, with claims that Stevie J didn’t pay more than $8,500 in child support for two of his children. This child support melee adds onto the problems Stevie J already has, including a month-long stay in rehab due to failing a drug test by testing positive for marijuana and cocaine – a problem that caused Stevie J to violate his probation.

According to Page Six, Stevie J failed 10 drug tests, and the failure to pay court-ordered child support apparently didn’t include Mimi Faust’s child with Stevie J, because the aforementioned $1.1 million child support missing payment was attributable to a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, children to a mother that lives in Pennsylvania. The daughter of Mimi and Stevie J, as seen in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta episodes, is notably much younger than a teenager.

As noted by the Inquisitr, Stevie J is one of the most popular supposedly true-to-life characters on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, but the explosive and erratic behavior shown by Stevie J and his alleged “wife,” Joseline Hernandez, cost her a four-episode suspension. Stevie J, meanwhile, was rumored to be part of the returning cast, although there’s no telling how a prison sentence would affect the 43-year-old Stevie J’s appearances on future episodes of the reality TV show.

Viewers know that Stevie J and Joseline are notably a volatile couple – combative and combustible like “fire and fire,” as Mimi called the duo. VH1 reported back in October 2014 that Stevie J and Joseline were expecting a baby; however, as the months went on, fans began to call foul on that storyline, as did Mimi. Previous storylines have shown Stevie J and Joseline discussing aborting a baby they allegedly expected when the couple first began dating, but with all the ups and downs that the power couple have displayed on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta episodes, viewers are left to wonder what is fact and which parts are fiction.

A music producer who has helped the careers of rappers like Eve, Stevie J knows that staying relevant – at least in the reality TV world – sometimes means creating dramatic storylines that bring viewers.
