Miley Cyrus’ Mom Desperate to Stop Her Weed Habit and Wants Intervention

Miley Cyrus’ weed smoking days may be soon coming to an end. On Thursday, OK! Magazine reported that the singer’s mom is fed up with seeing her daughter doing drugs and wants to stage an intervention to put a stop to it.

According to a source, Miley’s parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, are well aware that their daughter does drugs. The source said that the pop star defends her habit to them by saying that it helps with her creativity. Tish, however, thinks that it has gone too far.

“Miley has always been open with her parents, telling them that drugs help to expand her mind. But Tish has reached the point where she can’t stand by and let her daughter destroy herself.”

The breaking point came when photos recently surfaced of Miley in her house with weed everywhere. Tish now thinks that Miley has an addiction and is “putting pressure on Miley’s managers to help her stage an intervention and get Miley into rehab, even if it’s just an outpatient program.”

Miley Cyrus has been very vocal about smoking weed. In a September 2013 interview with Rolling Stone, she professed her love of weed. She even admitted that she has tried cocaine but prefers weed.

“I think weed is the best drug on earth. One time I smoked a joint with peyote in it, and I saw a wolf howling at the moon. Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And molly, too. Those are happy drugs – social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You’re out in the open. You’re not in a bathroom. I really don’t like coke. It’s so gross and so dark.”

Just last week, Miley Cyrus posted a photo of herself smoking a large blunt. She complimented someone for rolling “daaaaa fatttttesssst f**king bluntz evvaaaaa.”

A few weeks prior to that, she posted a photo of herself smoking a much smaller one.

Miley herself doesn’t believe that she has a problem. As reported by the Inquisitr in December 2014, Miley mocked media reports that she was addicted to drugs and was being forced into rehab with several Instagram posts.

Billy Ray Cyrus has spoken out before about Miley’s scandalous behavior. In an interview with GQ for its March 2011 issue, right after a video came out of Miley smoking, he blamed himself for trying to be too much of a friend to Miley rather than her parent.

“I should have been a better parent. I should have said, ‘Enough is enough – it’s getting dangerous and somebody’s going to get hurt.’ I should have, but I didn’t. Honestly, I didn’t know the ball was out of bounds until it was way up in the stands somewhere.”

Considering that Miley Cyrus’ behavior is a lot more shocking now than it was in 2010 and 2011, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus may be even more frantic to get control over their daughter.
