Drew Barrymore pierces her tongue

Drew Barrymore has an extra hole, but in a good way: in her tongue.

The actress talked to Ellen DeGeneres about the experience, explaining that it didn’t hurt much at first but the pain intensified, and that she couldn’t eat or drink for two week, making for a “sick, sadistic and weird diet.”

Despite the obvious benefits, Drew claims that the ring is scaring away men: “I got it and then I’ve been single ever since. I did it for myself. I always wanted to get one.”

    Look ma, no brain! What a dumb thing to do, I can't wait to see her with chipped front teeth and what she will look like at forty. What a dork. I would never date a woman with such a stupid hair brained idea like this. Close your mouth girl, your brains might fall out.

    I love how Drew Barrymore is true to her own personal style (tattoos, piercings, etc.) yet stays so classically glamorous. I really love her in 50 First Dates and agree with the EverHype (www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc) review that gave it 3.75 stars and called it “Great.” I saw He’s Just Not That Into You this weekend and it was fantastic!

    She looks good to me and shes a straight shooter who has triumphed over an amazzingly dissfuntional childhood, so good for her and its her tongue.
