‘RHONY’ Villain Aviva Drescher: Bethenny Frankel Reacts To Viewers’ Response

RHONY villain Aviva Drescher didn’t get the best reaction from fans, and no one was more surprised than Bethenny Frankel.

In an interview with Meredith Vieira on her talk show, Frankel discussed the public’s perception of Drescher after watching her on the show for two seasons, and as Reality Tea reported, she was quite shocked.

“I don’t know how you could have one leg and still have people despise you. I can’t believe she was so hated! I introduced her to the show and I thought I would get a fruit basket, but I ended up getting death threats! People just didn’t like her.”

Although Drescher wasn’t exactly the RHONY villain when she first joined the show, things got worse and worse as the episodes played out, and by Season 6, she was the enemy of nearly every cast member. Then, on the Season 6 finale episode, Drescher made waves when she removed her artificial leg and tossed it after being called fake. According to Drescher, the only thing fake about her was her prosthetic.

After the episode aired, Drescher explained her actions in an interview with E! News.

“You can say whatever you want about me, but to question the veracity of my honesty is going to really piss me off. It’s going to really bum me out. It’s going take me to the edge. Questioning my truthfulness set me off … I was being attacked by three shrews and they just wouldn’t stop and I thought that maybe they would shut up if I threw my leg on the table. And they did.”

While the moment made for quite the memorable reality TV scene, the RHONY villain was not asked back for Season 7.

As the Inquisitr reported, Bethenny Frankel has reportedly threatened to quit The Real Housewives of New York City after filming Season 7.

“Bethenny is feeling the pressure to deliver,” an insider close to the show revealed to Radar Online on January 14.

The source claimed Frankel, who appeared on the first three seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City, was tired of getting “pushed and prodded” into situations on the show.

“Bravo has tried getting Bethenny in group situations, but she’s not really having it. She feels these situations are too forced.”

Frankel is especially hesitant when it comes to discussing her divorce from Jason Hoppy.

“Whenever her marriage is discussed, Bethenny walks off the set. She basically is refusing to discuss anything private.”

No word yet on who will be the RHONY villain during Season 7.
