Taylor Swift Avoids Ex: Golden Globes Afterparty Has Taylor Swift, Jake Gyllenhaal In The Same Room

Taylor Swift was forced to avoid her ex, Jake Gyllenhaal, at a Golden Globes afterparty on Sunday night. According to Us Weekly, the country star showed up to the party, and spotted her actor ex. She then quickly turned to her friend and said that they needed to leave. Evidently, Swift did not feel super comfortable being in Jake’s presence, and likely didn’t even know that he was going to be there (he was actually his sister Maggie’s date, and didn’t take part in the show).

“[Taylor] wasn’t dancing, but I saw her grab her friend’s hand and repeat, ‘We have to go. We have to go,'” said a source who was at the party. “Four girls (Cara Delevingne, Dakota Johnson, and Rita Ora) were together and Taylor was having a mini meltdown. Cara’s arm was around Taylor, calming her down as Rita looked on. They were talking extremely closely.”

Taylor Swift has had to avoid ex after ex, since she has dated around Hollywood. It seems as though every show or party she attends is also attended by someone that she used to date, which can make things a bit uncomfortable. Jake Gyllenhaal probably wasn’t bothered by Swift, as he was seen dancing the night away with various women from singer Rita Ora to actress Malin Akerman.

According to Music-News, Gyllenhaal actually bumped into another ex at the party — Reese Witherspoon. Evidently there are no hard feelings between the two, as they said hello to one another, and shared a laugh.

“Reese paused and hugged Jake Gyllenhaal. They looked happy to see each other,” shared the source.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Swift is rumored to be dating Matt Healy from the group 1975. Swift went to a few of Healy’s concerts over the past couple of months. Although that relationship has never been confirmed, sources say that the two have just been having some casual fun together.

Over the past few months, Swift has said that she’s single, but she has been linked to Harry Styles, whom she previously dated. One person she certainly won’t be linked to is Jake Gyllenhaal, however, as it sounds like she still is not comfortable around him to say the very least.

The Jarhead actor shouldn’t have any trouble finding someone new.
