Chrissy Teigen’s ‘Cry Face’ Goes Viral After John Legend’s Song Gets Golden Globe [Photos]

Combine Chrissy Teigen’s “cry face,” as she calls it, with her husband John Legend’s original song award, and you’ve got a Golden Globes golden moment. That’s precisely what happens at the Jan. 11 awards ceremony, as Legend became legendary for taking home the trophy while his wife couldn’t stop the happy tears from flowing, reported E News.

John’s Golden Globe was for his Selma original song, with Common. During his acceptance of the award, Legend got abandoned by cameras in favor of supermodel Chrissy. And Teigen, as she humorously tweeted, just had to burst into joyful sobs.

“Sorry I don’t practice my cry face okay,” Chrissy tweeted. “It’s been 5 minutes and I’m a meme.”

Twitter didn’t hesitate to respond with witty captions and responses for her first-it-was-a-moment-now-it’s-viral photo and her tweet.

In response to her joking confession that she had failed to practice, John the UnTurnt teasingly scolded her.

“You know that was due today, right?”

Some Tweeps twitted Teigen with kooky captions.

When your mom makes you cry & then says ‘fix your face’ in public @chrissyteigen #goldenglobes

When you tell your stylist to cut a half an inch and they take off 3 inches.

And others couldn’t wait for the memes to mean something, such as L.A.S.

“soooooo jelly @chrissyteigen is about to become a meme”

As for husband John Legend, he joined in the fun, reported the New York Daily News. He teamed up with Chrissy to create their own mocking memento of the moment.

But although Chrissy Teigen’s “cry face” may have taken the prize for viral photos from the Golden Globes, she and John Legend weren’t the only couple to reap attention.

Marking their first time on the red carpet since their wedding, golden couple George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin joined hands as they braved the photographers at the Golden Globe Awards, reported Us Weekly.

Clooney did more than attend the ceremony. He reunited with his ER co-star Julianna Margulies, as the Inquisitr reported.

Margulies presented the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Clooney at the ceremony. The two have been pals for years since exiting the famous medical drama. Don Cheadle, who co-starred with George in the Ocean’s movies, teamed up with Julianna as her co-presenter.
