Xzibit DUI Wedding: Rapper Busted After Tying The Knot
Xzibit was reportedly busted for DUI shortly after his wedding last November, which probably didn’t make for a very pleasant honeymoon.
The rapper, who previously hosted the hit MTV series Pimp My Ride, was reportedly picked up by police following his wedding reception in Laguna Beach, California. According to TMZ, Xzibit is now facing two counts of driving under the influence for sliding behind the wheel of an automobile after having a bit too much to drink. To make matters worse, police caught him speeding at the time of his arrest.
After getting pulled over for DUI on his wedding day, the rapper blew a 0.14, which is almost twice the legal limit. As a result, Xzibit ended up cooling his heels in a jail cell instead of spending some quality time with his new bride.

Billboard points out that Xzibit didn’t let the DUI ruin what was an otherwise joyous occasion. A day after tying the knot to Krista Joiner, the former Pimp My Ride host posted a wordy message about his nuptials on Instagram. In short: He may have gotten arrested, but he’s still extremely happy about the wedding.
“Yesterday was our wedding day. It was nothing short of amazing. We were surrounded by friends and family and had an outstanding ceremony. It was not tainted by negative energy and I made sure it stayed that way. There was a time I thought I would NEVER get married. I thought that being single was the only way for me, not knowing that I was giving up more of myself to people who didn’t care about me or love me unconditionally. I had to do a LOT of growing up and over time came the maturity I needed to be able to make a commitment stronger than anything that I have done in my life outside of being a father to my two beautiful sons.”
Although the world knows that Xzibit was officially busted for DUI on his wedding day, TMZ isn’t sure what plea the rapper has entered in the case.
Xzibit released his first album back in 1996, though it was his 2000 record Restless that earned him platinum status. In addition to his MTV show, the rapper has appeared in such movies as xXx: State of the Union with Ice Cube and The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. His latest film, Fencewalker, is currently in post-production.
