Big Sean Ex Sings ‘Problem’ On ‘Glee’
Everyone thinks Big Sean and Ariana Grande make the perfect couple. Heck, even Meghan Trainor confessed on Contact Music to saying she wanted to be as “adorable as Ariana Grande and Big Sean.” I think there’s only one person who would disagree with that sentiment: Naya Rivera.
Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, a.k.a. Big Sean, is known as the other half of famous pop star, pony tail wearing Ariana Grande. But once, not so long ago, Naya Rivera was the other half of Big Sean.
On last night’s episode of Glee, the first episode of the new and final season, Naya Rivera performed a special hit that just seemed to be a dig at her former love. So what hit did she get to belt out with co-stars Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, and Kevin McHale? None other than her old flame’s new squeeze’s hit record, “Problem.”
So why exactly would this be such a burn for Big Sean?
Big Sean met Naya over Twitter, which led to his courtship of her. The two were even engaged in October of 2013. A few months later, Big Sean and Naya broke up. Then, in July of 2014, when she planned her wedding with Big Sean, Naya married long-time friend Ryan Dorsey.
So why did Big Sean and Naya break up? While Big Sean didn’t confirm he was dating Ariana Grande until after Naya was married, the two lovebirds met while working on the song “Problem” while he was still with Naya. Sounds a little fishy if you ask me.
And many would agree. According to Directly Lyrics, “the common belief out there is that Big Sean cheated on Naya with Ariana and that’s the reason they broke up.”
So isn’t that funny how “Problem” is the most likely reason Big Sean and Naya broke up, and now she gets to sing the song which talks about a no-good boyfriend? Ironic.
Ariana and Big Sean have no problems letting everyone know just how much they love each other, as seen in this tweet where Ariana refers to Big Sean and his dog as her “two perfect boys.”

While the episode was shot back in September of 2014, it is said that the show’s writers were aware of the love triangle and still decided it would be a good idea to have Naya belt out the supposed home-wrecker’s hit.
Although it might just be for the best; it looks like Naya no longer has to worry about Big Sean being her “Problem.”
