Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Married Before Their Wedding Ceremony?

Did Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt get hitched before their wedding ceremony in France? That’s what Jolie revealed to the Italian magazine Lo Donna.

According to a sit down interview, the actress turned director revealed that the pair were married in California prior to the wedding in France. “Before the wedding in France with the kids, Brad and I were already married in California. As Americans, we couldn’t marry legally in France.”

So how did it all go down? Well, according to Jolie it started as a regular day that ended in an intimate exchange of nuptials. “One day I said to Brad, ‘Let’s meet up at 4:30 p.m.? I called a justice of the peace and we signed the documents.”

The pair received a marriage license from a judge in California before they said “I do” in August in a private ceremony at the Chateau Marvel.

Recently Angelina Jolie opened up about wanting to be a better wife to her husband Brad Pitt. Speaking with Today, Jolie said that the marriage has changed their relationship.

“It did change in just a feeling of that security and comfort that we always had but that recommitting after ten years of being together, and we were fortunate enough to be in that unusual situation where we got married with our children and they were a part of the ceremony and they wrote some of the vows.”

She continued to expand on her point, and as stated, opened up about wanting to be a better wife as far as the kitchen goes. “I think we have more moments where I say, ‘I’m going to be a better wife. I’m going to learn to cook,’ and he says, ‘Oh honey, know what you’re good at, know what you’re not, but I do have my, ‘No, no, no I’m going to get this wife thing down,’ but he knows my limitations and where I’m a good wife and a good mom.”

Since getting married their life has been characteristically busy. Their honeymoon acted as a work project, as Jolie directed and starred alongside her husband in the film By the Sea. The film is about a couple’s crumbling marriage. Suffice to say the Pitts probably can’t relate to the material.
