Maci Bookout Gives Fans An Update On Her Pregnancy

Maci Bookout is expecting her second child, and unfortunately, dealing with all the side effects that come with it. On January 9, the Teen Mom star took to Twitter, where she gave fans an update.

On Twitter, Bookout revealed she’s been doing plenty of complaining about the downside of her pregnancy.

“If I were @tmon3yy I would be so tired of hearing me complain abt pregnancy symptoms.”

Maci Bookout and McKinney have been dating for over two years, but have yet to tie the knot. After revealing her pregnancy, as the Inquisitr reported, Bookout admitted she would have preferred to have walked down the aisle prior to conception.

“Before I got pregnant, we talked heavily about marriage — and we still do, but I don’t want to be a pregnant bride. That would be way too stressful!” Bookout told In Touch Weekly, according to a Radar Online report last month. “Plus, I want to be able to have fun at my wedding.”

Since Bookout doesn’t want to be a pregnant bride, she’s planning to wait until after her daughter is born before she and McKinney — a motocross racer — get engaged.

“Obviously, I wish we would have been married first, but everything will come together afterwards.”

For the last several months, Maci Bookout and McKinney have been filming scenes for Teen Mom Season 5. And while Bookout has always been a fan favorite, she’s worried her audience may not take the news of her second pregnancy very well.

“I’m a bit apprehensive — I just hope people don’t judge. We are a little bit scared people might not be as supportive as we want them to be [because we’re not married], but I hope they are.”

One person who’s loving Bookout’s baby news is her 6-year-old son with Ryan Edwards, Bentley.

“[He is] beyond excited,” Bookout said. “He’s already nicknamed the baby Bubby.”

Following Bentley’s birth, Bookout was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, which meant her chances of conceiving a child naturally were slim to none. Then, during the summer of 2014, Bookout discovered she was with child after experiencing some odd symptoms.

“I started having very strange symptoms, like my legs were very itchy and I had tenderness in my breasts. So we got a test and it said I was pregnant. I didn’t think that another pregnancy was possible. We still can’t believe it. It was a huge shock, but we are very excited.”

Maci Bookout will be seen on Teen Mom Season 5 later this year.
