Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Canceled? Focus Groups Are Being Held

Will Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey be canceled after Season 6? According to a new report, the network is currently working to see if they should move forward with a new season of the reality series.

“Bravo is busy conducting focus groups to determine if there is even any interest from viewers in the New Jersey franchise,” an insider told Radar Online. “Teresa and Joe’s legal issues brought a very dark cloud to the show.”

Although Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey was once one of the network’s top franchises, the sixth season didn’t bring in nearly as many viewers as it did during past seasons.

“This past season, Teresa was on her best behavior for obvious reasons. The dynamic among the ladies changed because of Teresa holding back, and it got boring. Having Jacqueline Laurita come back to film scenes after filming for the season had already concluded, was a big sign that the show was in big trouble ratings wise.”

While producers are unsure of moving forward, they have taken steps towards a potential season seven cast.

“Producers have reached out to all of the ladies with the exception of Teresa, because she is now in prison. There is no interest in having Joe and their daughters on the show.”

As the Inquisitr reported earlier this week, Giudice’s recent entry into prison has put the future of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey in jeopardy.

“At this point, The Real Housewives of New Jersey is essentially done,” an insider told Radar. “Bravo has considered all of their options and they don’t feel like there is really a show without Teresa. Whether the other women want to admit it or not, she is the star of the franchise. The show simply wouldn’t be the same without her.”

On Monday, Giudice entered a 15-month prison term, so if producers did want her on board, they’d have to shelve Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey for over a year.

“Realistically, she wouldn’t even be able to begin filming until 2016. Filming typically takes 4-6 months, and then production still has to edit the footage. That would be way too long of a delay for the series.”

“No one has begun filming for RHONJ. The future of the RHONJ is clearly in jeopardy, as there hasn’t been any talk about beginning anytime soon.”
