How Gia Giudice Is Celebrating Her Birthday Without Mother Teresa
During Teresa Giudice’s prison sentence, she will be missing a lot of important moments with her family. One event in particular is her daughter Gia’s 14th birthday. Today, Gia is celebrating her second year into those painful teen years, and she has to go through it all without her mother.
So how is Gia Giudice celebrating the bittersweet occasion? Well, according to E!, the reality star is planning a few celebrations. A source close to the Giudice family tells the site,
“Her friends are throwing her a big party this Saturday. Next weekend, she’ll have another celebration with her bandmates in 3KT. Everyone wants to celebrate with her.”
Despite the difficult time in her life, friends close to Gia tell E! that she’s doing well.
“She’s busy, but happy. She’s really got her life in order right now…Everyone’s really proud of her.”
Recently, Gia and her band 3KT released a music video for their first official single called “Season of Joy.”
The source added that 3KT isn’t the only thing on the teen’s plate.
“She’s really matured so much just in this past week. She’s got it all together. Two days a week, she mentors kindergarteners through third graders after school. She has cheer practice three days a week and she has her girl group.”
Since her mother Teresa’s sentencing, Gia has been tweeting out messages of support for the Real Housewives of New Jersey star.

There was a silver lining to Teresa Giudice’s sentencing. It was announced today that Teresa’s sentence is getting chopped off by two months, and she will be released in 13 months instead of 15. When she is released, her husband Joe will serve his 41 months in federal prison, and Teresa Giudice will have custody of their four daughters.
Teresa and Joe’s sentencing stems from a federal indictment of bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. The two both pleaded guilty, and currently owe $214,588. Additionally, the couple are still trying to sell their Towaco home for $2.99 million.
