Have One Direction Fans Forgiven James Arthur?
One Direction fans didn’t have a problem ripping singer/songwriter James Arthur apart back in 2013, after he decided to spew some nasty comments about the boy band. However, Arthur is hoping 1D fanatics have forgiven him for these transgressions.
When you mess with One Direction, then you’d better prepare yourself accordingly for the ensuing backlash. Arthur learned this lesson the hard way, when he decided to say some not-too-friendly things about the group. Although One Direction fans responded in earnest, apparently James took issue with boy bands as a whole.
“F**k boybands! Bring on the hate I don’t wanna be popular. Apart from JLS who are genuinely the coolest people I’ve met in music.”
According to RTE, the singer is hoping One Direction fans have forgotten his nasty remarks about their favorite band. Since Arthur has a brand new album in the works (though he’s curiously without a record deal at the moment), he’s apologizing once again for all of those horrible things he said about the group.

He added, “I was going through a rough spit… I was having an argument with one fan that escalated. I’ve never disliked the band.”

The question remains: Have One Direction fans forgiven the singer for spitting hateful comments about their idols? Can you pull yourself out of the ditch once you slighted the band? Judging from some of the comments on Twitter, that’s still up for debate.
“No he’s still a racist f**king ugly homophobic b*****d with no career. And he spits when he sings. Dirty c**t,” one micro-blogger colorfully opined.
“No,” another bluntly wrote.
Unfortunately for James, it doesn’t look like One Direction fans are ready to forgive. In other words, he’ll have to sling records without support from millions of music-hungry individuals with a fair amount of disposable cash. Let this serve as a lesson to budding pop musicians: If you want to sell albums, make good with 1D fans. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself busking on the streets in-between uploading unwatched videos on YouTube.
