Jenelle Evans Of ‘Teen Mom 2’ FaceTimes With Her Son After Getting Engaged
Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith reunited with their son Kaiser while on vacation. Although the Teen Mom 2 couple and their new baby didn’t meet in person, they were able to see each other on FaceTime on Wednesday morning.
“Awwwwh my babbbbby!” Evans wrote in the caption of a photo, which featured her and Griffith in the top right corner.
Following their pregnancy announcement, Evans spoke to MTV’s blog, revealing her excitement for her second child.
“We just want a child of our own that we can raise together as a family, and we want a stable relationship for Jace and his daughter,” she said. “We just want to settle down.”
“It works because he doesn’t like drugs, barely drinks, nothing like that,” Evans said of her relationship with Griffith.
At the time, Evans claimed she and Griffith were planning to get married in the summer of 2014 after her divorce from first husband Courtland Rogers was finalized.
“I have to get divorced first, of course,” she admitted. “I haven’t spoken to him since he got arrested last April, actually.”
Although they haven’t gotten married yet, Evans and Griffith’s relationship was stable enough for her to know she was ready to welcome a second child into the world.
“I think it would scare me more if I was in the situation I was when I had Jace. Now I’m in a stable relationship and I have my own place, my own car, a job…I can pay my bills. I’m just happy with my life right now.”
Also in the interview, which was conducted ahead of a recently aired season of Teen Mom 2, Evans said she wasn’t too worried about how fans would take the news.
“I’ve got my life together now, and I’m a different person from what they’ve seen. I just can’t wait for them to see how much I’ve bettered my life. I understand if they judge me now, but they won’t judge me soon.”
Before they arrived to their destination earlier this week, Evans and Griffith experienced a scary in-air moment when the Spirit airliner they were traveling on experienced a sudden issue, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing. Evans chronicled the ordeal on her Twitter account, revealing she and her now-fiance were unable to sit with one another.
In addition to son Kaiser, Jenelle Evans is mother to 5-year-old Jace, and Griffith is dad to 3-year-old Emery. While the couple’s oldest children do not live with them at this time, they see them on weekends.
As the Inquisitr reported, Evans and Griffith became engaged on Tuesday night, January 6.
