The Cramps Lux Interior Dead

Lux Interior, lead singer of the punk band The Cramps has died aged 60.
According to a statement, Lux Interior passed away from a heart condition at Glendale Memorial Hospital in Glendale, California Wednesday morning.
The Cramps were part of the early CBGB punk movement that emerged in New York, and by being the first known band to blend punk with rockabilly, are widely recognized as precursors of psychobilly, and innovators of garage punk.
Lux Interior (real name Erick Purkhiser) was one of the band’s founding members, along with wife Poison Ivy (Kristy Wallace). Despite numerous changes to the band over the year, Lux Interior and Poison Ivy continued to lead the band for over 30 years. The band released 14 albums and EP’s between 1979 and 2004.
Here’s an old recording of The Cramps performing Human Fly:

I can not believe that lux interior died. I think that the CRAMPS have been one of the best band in the world in the past 30 years. I personally went to see them at least 15 times all around Europe. My hearth goes to poison ivy who has been his companion for all these years .
what a great loss.
I LOVE YOU IVY
