Spotted by VideoGamer, the Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition listing comes with the game, a SteelBook case, art book, comic book, and the statue in question. Now that sounds eerily like something that would be written on a memorial. Specifically, it sounds like something written on a memorial for a dead person; or a presumed dead person.

Batman: Arkham Knight has been referred to as the “epic conclusion” to the Arkham series of games by publisher Warner Bros. multiple times already.

Batman: Arkham Knight brings the award-winning Batman: Arkham trilogy from Rocksteady Studios to its epic conclusion,” the latest press release that came with the Ace Chemicals Infiltration videos reads. Emphasis mine.

“Developed exclusively for the New Generation of consoles and PCs, Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile. The highly anticipated addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman: Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

“In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect, as Scarecrow returns to unite the super criminals of Gotham and destroy the Batman forever,” the release concludes.

Is Rocksteady putting an end to Bruce Wayne as Batman? The developer appears to be setting things up that way. The question is, will the Caped Crusader truly be dead or will he meet an ending like that of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises?

PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC owners will get to see the fate of Batman in Arkham Knight when it hits their systems on June 2, 2015. This comes after a delay from the holiday 2014 release to give the game extra polish.

What do you think of this potential spoiler for Batman: Arkham Knight? Is this the end of Batman as Bruce Wayne in the venerable video game series? Or is this just a setup for something new? Sound off in the comments below.
