Iggy Azalea Resolves To Have A Drama Free 2015

Iggy Azalea is determined to make this year a great one with what seems to be a New Year’s resolution. According to People magazine, Iggy, 24, has declared she plans to stay away from drama and focus on her health. She made this statement shortly after revealing to her fans on Twitter she has TMJ, temporomandibular joint disorder, which affects the muscles and joints that connect the lower jaw to the skull.

Iggy says she hopes to stay away from stress, which she believes can aggravate her condition.

That same day, Iggy also tweeted to her fans that she wants to focus on living a balanced life.

“I’m gonna make more of an effort to take care of myself in 2015, stay away from all the drama & hopefully not have any flair ups. I don’t think western medicine all the way acknowledges what a huge toll mental stress takes on our bodies. But I do believe it is a factor.”

There’s plenty of positivity for Iggy to focus on this year besides any “drama.” Currently working on her second album, Iggy also has her first solo tour coming up with dates scheduled across the U.S., not to mention she’s up for a few Grammy awards.

Iggy Azalea’s single, “Fancy” featuring Charli XCX, has been nominated for Record of the Year along with Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Iggy has also been nominated for Best New Artist and Best Rap Album with her debut The New Classic.

Azalea told Radio.com, “Obviously I’m creative, but I’m still running a business here. Of course, honestly—yes, it’s always going to be something to consider. I want the biggest audience. But I also don’t want to have to compromise everything to achieve that or I’m not going to be having fun.”

Azalea went on to talk about “Fancy” specifically.

“I think ‘Fancy’ is a great compromise. It’s a compromise that doesn’t feel like a compromise. It’s a good balance of something that you can all understand and I still love.”

Iggy is continuing to work with other performers. According to Idolator, Shakira’s eleventh album, which sources say is nearly finished, will include a collaboration with Iggy.

Iggy Azalea has also made it onto the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Music list for 2015 along with fellow Aussies 5SOS, which is a reminder she isn’t even 30 yet and has seen a lot of success already. She mused about her age on Twitter.

Will Iggy Azalea get her wish of a drama free year? Time will tell.
